Mississippi River and Bluffs
Boating, jet skiing or relaxing at one of Red Wing’s beautiful Parks on the River. (Baypoint Park, Levee Park and Colvill Park). Riverboat enthusiasts can watch paddle boats traveling upriver from New Orleans to dock at Red Wing.

Memorial Park 
Enter Memorial Park off of 7th Street and drive to the top of Sorin Bluff. You’ll have a panoramic view of the expanse of the Mississippi River. There are walking trails, disc golf course and bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the view overlooking Red Wing

Cannon Valley Trail
19.7 mile paved bike trail of countryside adventure paralleling the Cannon River, the Trail offers glimpses and panoramas of the valley and gradually descends 115 feet in elevation from Cannon Falls to Red Wing. From overhanging cliffs to views of extensive wetland complexes, nature's seasonal changes are vividly displayed. Connecting to the Cannon Valley trail is the Hay Creek Trail which runs along the creek. Eventually will connect to the Pioneer Trail which goes through Goodhue 13 miles away.

Barn Bluff
Barn Bluff is a landmark that is clearly seen when approaching Red Wing by water in years past, today used for hiking with stairs and paths reaching up to the top and rock climbing for those with an adventuresome spirit!

Red Wing Pottery Salesroom
Visit the word famous Red Wing Pottery Salesroom and view potters at work in our salt glaze pottery studio.  Red Wing Pottery is made today in the same skilled tradition of Red Wing’s first potters. Red Wing Stoneware offers a factory tour Monday-Friday at 10:30am, 1pm and 3:30pm to watch potters throw handmade stoneware, as well as do slip casting and ram pressing in a tradition of days gone by.

Red Wing Shoes & Museum. 
From a tiny corner shop started in 1905, Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. has grown into the most respected manufacturer of hardworking boots and shoes around the world. The Red Wing Shoe store and museum are located on Main Street.

Falconer Vineyard. 
Falconer Vineyards specializes in wines crafted from cold hardy Northern grape varieties. Visit the Cellar tasting room where you may try our wines and find quality accessories for you wine cellar and home.

Dozens of quaint specialty, gift and antique shops located in downtown Red Wing please a variety of visitors. Pick up a brochure with 3 historic walking tours which boasts impressive historic buildings and sites as well as a residential neighborhood west of downtown which as been included on the National Register of Historic Places.

Sheldon Theatre
Described as a “jewel box,” this grand venue played host to large traveling shows and still does. With an assortment of music, comedians and plays, you surely will find one that you will enjoy!

Winter on Barn Bluff

Mississippi River
The Mississippi River is a fabulous resource in which you can fish in the winter as well. Whether you bring your fish house or a bucket and a hole it doesn’t stop fishermen from having fun on the river!

Skiing or Snowboarding
Those up for a challenge can cross-country on the Cannon Valley Trail or down Highway 61 to Frontenac State Park and downhill ski at Welch Mountain  just a few miles north of Red Wing,

Snowmobiling
If Mother Nature blesses us with enough snow we can let you enjoy our groomed trails.

Fall Festival of the Arts

Eagle Watching
The last 3 weekends of February and the first 3 weekends of March Colvill Park hosts eagle watch weekends with spotting scopes and binoculars guarantee spectacular close up views of those magnificent birds of prey. Red Wing experienced volunteers answer questions about eagle behavior, ecology and recovery. Call 800-498-3444 for additional information.

Many different exhibits throughout the year with a gift area featuring local artists talents from selling silk scarves, fabulous jewelry, paintings or Prints. Make a stop at the Depot on the shore of the Mississippi River.
